Love in action! Opportunities to volunteer your time and talents abound at UBB! Here are a few of the areas where you could help:
Contact Kelle in the office at (410) 544-7990 for the latest needs. You can send a message indicating your interest using this form.
Unity by the Bay is a member of the coalition of local churches that support and staff My Brother’s Pantry, a food resource on the Broadneck Peninsula. If you can help, contact Rich Brooks at notsogoat@outlook.com.
UBB supports residents (some of them homeless) along the B&A Trail in Glen Burnie by stocking the food box in Flower Box #42. You can contribute to this community service by bringing canned goods (pop-tops are preferred), other nonperishables, and personal care items to the blue tub on the side porch at UBB. Rich Brooks and Margaret Hardy coordinate this much-appreciated resource. In addition to canned goods, they welcome financial donations so that they can buy what the residents can use. Contact Rich Brooks at notsogoat@outlook.com.
In the cold weather, let's add gloves, knit caps, and socks to the box in Flower Bed #42 along the B&A Trail, or place your donations in the blue tub on the side porch at UBB.
If you or someone you know could use food support, leave a message at My Brother's Pantry (410-757-5190). Someone will return your call within 24 hours to arrange assistance.
A noontime Al-Anon group is being formed at Unity by the Bay. If you are interested in participating, please contact the District 15 coordinator, Terry Conroy, at tlconroy0629@gmail.com.
