The Youth and Family Ministry at Unity by the Bay provides a safe place of love and acceptance, where our children and teens experience the recognition of their oneness with God. Our purpose is to create lessons and activities that invite the Divine potential in each individual to grow and expand. Our program uses the tools of affirmative prayer, the Living Curriculum, meditation, and service as we learn Unity’s Truth principles and apply them as a foundation in our lives.

Millennial Parents

Message from Ms. Holly
I am honored to be entrusted with the spiritual enrichment of your children as director of UBB’s Youth and Family Ministry. Unity by the Bay is a warm and loving community, where everyone is encouraged to explore spiritual ideas and learn how to apply the Unity principles in our everyday lives. We use teaching materials developed by Unity Worldwide Ministries. All of the adults involved in UBB’s program have completed a background check, and all activities are hosted by at least two adults.

We invite your children to join us on Sunday mornings and for our special events. And we encourage you, as parents, to learn more about our curriculum. We look forward to welcoming you and your children into our program.

“Who will take care of the children?”

This question came to Myrtle Fillmore, Unity’s co-founder, in a dream.

“You are to take care of the children: this is your work” was the answer she heard. “Our mission is not to entertain the children, but to call them out. To be always entertained is to be dwarfed and dependent. To be ‘called out’ is to follow the harmonious law of the soul’s unfoldment. Who meddles with the rosebud? What fingers are deft enough to pry open that marvel of folded beauty? We are wise enough to leave it alone to follow the glad law of its own unfolding, but our children! Have we dealt as wisely with these buds of marvelous possibilities? Have we always remembered that they, too, must quicken and unfold through the innate law of their own genius?”

Who will take care of the children?

Our Youth and Family Ministry Director, Holly Greuling, has answered that call here at Unity by the Bay. We value children as a vital part of our church community and endeavor to provide qualitative and caring programs. We believe that the truth principles contained within the Unity philosophy are tools that our young ones can use to expand and transform their lives for a greater expression of God in their daily life.
